Nuestro programa de credencial te prepara para enseñar español como lengua extranjera y lengua heredada en escuelas de nivel intermedio y en secundarias. Todas nuestras clases se basan en investigaciones recientes y prácticas en salones de clase. Mantenemos relaciones estrechas con los maestros residentes quienes también proveen guía y orientación a lo largo de todo el año del programa de credencial.
California has an increased number of students whose first language is Spanish. Our Spanish credential program prepares you for teaching Spanish as a foreign language and heritage language at the middle and high school levels. All coursework builds on recent research and actual classroom practices. We maintain close ties to the Spanish resident teachers who jointly provide guidance and mentoring throughout your year-long credential program.

First Year Courses
The coursework during the first year is focused and intensive, enabling you to complete the courses and student-teaching component required for the Teaching Credential in three academic quarters.

B-Level CPR. Must Include CPR for adults, children, and infants. First aid not required.

EDU 327AB: Spanish Methods in the Secondary School
Second Year Coursework (Completion of Master of Arts in Education)
The second year will be dedicated to working within the professional classroom setting, identifying and researching practical issues and approaching them from an informed analytical viewpoint. You will take courses on a part-time basis, allowing you to work in your professional field as a full-time teacher.
